Nitrous oxide: This soothing gas is inhaled through a comfortable mask worn during dental treatments. Commonly called laughing gas, nitrous oxide alleviates anxiety as well as discomfort. The effects of nitrous oxide wear off quickly and let you get back to a normal routine following your appointment.
Oral Sedation: You'll take a commonly prescribed sedative prior to your appointment and drift into a state of total relaxation. Dr. Howard will perform our dental work, and potentially complete many procedures in a single office visit. Oral sedation diminishes gradually and leaves patients with pleasant memories of their time with us.
Dr. Howard will assess your needs and discuss your fears to determine if sedation dentistry is right for you. If you qualify, he'll help you select the appropriate level of sedation to alleviate your anxiety and provide a safe, comfortable, and successful experience.
