MEET DR. DIMPLE PATEL, DMD
Dr. Dimple Patel is a native of South Carolina and was born and raised in the Carolinas. For her undergraduate work, Dr. Patel attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA where she attained degrees in Psychology and Religion while also completing her science requirements for dental school. Upon graduation with honors from Emory in 2000, Dr. Patel returned home to attend dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. While there, she was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and was named a Hinman Scholar. In 2005, after graduating 2nd in her class, Dr. Patel returned to Atlanta to pursue her career in general dentistry. She has been delivering excellent dental care to her community in the Greater Atlanta area for the last 17 years before joining Leading Edge Dentistry.
Dr. Patel has taken countless continuing education courses to become extremely proficient in all aspects of general dentistry. She has an extensive skill set with which to perform a broad range of procedures, including endodontics (root canals), oral surgery, implants, and general and cosmetic dentistry. However, it is Dr. Patel’s compassionate and caring nature that truly sets her apart from others. She strives to not only to restore your smile and improve your oral health but your overall health as well.
In her spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young boys, cooking, traveling, and being a huge Atlanta sports fan, especially the Falcons.
Brandy
Office Manager
Brandy began her career in dentistry as an assistant in 1995 and joined Leading Edge in 2005. She graduated from Medix College with her assisting certification and is certified in Expanded Duties and CPR. Brandy now manages the team at Leading Edge and is always available to help!
Brandy enjoys building relationships with patients and helping them have the best dental experience possible. Brandy is originally from Powder Springs and is happily married with 3 beautiful daughters. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Melina
Office Administrator
Melina has been helping patients in the business office for over 25 years now! Not only does Melina assist in scheduling appointments, she also helps patients understand and apply their dental insurance as well as answer any question related to dental procedures. Melina prides herself in building relationships with patients to help them have the best experience possible.
Melina has been happily married to her husband for 35 years and currently resides in Douglasville. She has three beautiful children and six active grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, watching the Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with her family.
Lucy
Dental Hygienist
Lucy has been working in healthcare for the majority of her adult life. Prior to entering the dental field, she worked as a surgical technician. She has degrees in dental hygiene, surgical technology, and physical education. As one of our highly trained hygienists, Lucy is especially skilled in patient education and stays current on all new hygiene protocols.
Originally from Massachusetts, she moved to Georgia in 2001 and has called Georgia home ever since. When she is not at work, she enjoys hiking with her husband and puppy, reading, and wood carving.
Dawn
Dental Hygienist
Dawn has been a part of the Leading Edge Dentistry team since May 2007. She was born and raised in the Cobb County area. She attended Kennesaw State University and graduated in 1999 from the Dental Hygiene program at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
She is CPR certified and is always taking continuing education courses to stay up to date on all of the latest advances in dentistry.
Dawn really enjoys creating relationships with all of her patients and educating them about their oral health. Her favorite part of every day is getting to see her patients’ smiling faces.
Joyce
Dental Assistant
As one of our highly skilled assistants, Joyce has been assisting since 1999 and has been a member of the Leading Edge team since 2015. She is certified in Expanded Duties and is CPR trained. She is an integral part of our team as she delivers a calm and caring experience to every patient.
Joyce has been married since 1985 and has three children. When not working, Joyce enjoys reading, writing, spending time with family, and staying active with her three rescue dogs.
